President Ali congratulated by Christian group, Zadok Ministers Fellowship

His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, has received a congratulatory letter from the Zadok Ministers Fellowship extending best wishes on his ascension into office as the Ninth Executive President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

The letter signed by Bishop Terry Thomas states that, “As Leaders of the Christian Community, rooted in the Biblical Word, we believe that promotion comes from God; we pray for your good success, health and wise leadership, that will catapult Guyana into a new wave of transformation and development. We pray that your leadership will be further motivated by divine inspiration, that it will cause you to have wisdom, knowledge and understanding: that your decision making will be characterized by wise counsel and that you will govern with a servant heart in the fear of God.”

Bishop Thomas also used the opportunity to congratulate the Cabinet and other members of the Government, noting that they look forward to a Guyana where there is equal opportunity and equal access.

“Mr President, you have come to the reigns of leadership at a very momentous and critical time in our nation’s history. We, therefore, anticipate that the lessons learnt from our past experiences will make you, and us, as a Guyanese nation, stronger and more united. Highest regards to you, the First Lady and your son. May the peace and blessings of Almighty God be with you always,” the letter states.

Over the past month, the Head of State has received numerous congratulatory letters from fellow Heads of State, international organisations and other civil society organisations, with many expressing the desire to work with the Government for the continued development of the country and its people.
