Private Sector assured of Govt’s support
– Caribbean Motor Spares opens second branch at Grove
– Third branch to be opened in G/town this month
Minister of within the Ministry of Public Works, Hon. Deodat Indar and Minister within The Ministry of Housing and Water, Hon. Susan Rodrigues on Saturday afternoon attended the ceremonial opening of Caribbean Motor Spares’ second branch on the Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
Minister Indar said he was pleased to see private sector business blooming.
“Our Government focuses on the private sector economy because it is one that builds a nation quickly. The Grove/ Diamond area is very populated and I am sure, this business will give back to the community, in terms of employment.”
Minister Indar encouraged other businesses to trust the PPP/C Administration to return the economy to a position of strength.
Meanwhile, Minister Rodrigues noted the private sector’s role in stimulating the economy.
“The Private Sector is a stakeholder to the Government and we would always grant incentives, change the laws and often look into the needs to always boost this industry,” she said.
General Manager of Caribbean Auto Spares, Mr. Hardial Doobay noted that the business was founded in 2012 and is presently one of the leading retailers and distributor of auto parts in Guyana.
“Our partners are worldwide and customers are from all parts of Guyana and this branch will serve those going to Linden. I must announce that in late January we will be opening a third branch in Georgetown to better serve and contribute to the development of the private sector,” Mr. Doobay said.
The first outlet is located at Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo.
Longstanding business partners and top customers of the company were also recognised at the ceremony.
