“Wearing a mask is also an act of love!”

The Cathalena Energy Inc. in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Demerara (RCD) donated 500 face masks to the National AIDS Programme Secretariat (NAPS). The handing over of the masks took place at the NAPS College Road, Georgetown location. The masks will be distributed during the NAPS’ Couples Testing Valentine activity scheduled for February 12 – 14, 2021.

In observance of Valentine’s Day the NAPS will be conducting its annual couples’ testing activity under the theme ” Test of Love”.  HIV testing will be available at the Giftland Mall, City Mall, Mon Repos Market and Demico House Bus Park in Region 4; Parika Market in Region 3; and For the Kids Sake in Region 10. Peer educators are expected to be on hand to distribute condoms, lubricants, masks and HIV/AIDS materials. 

Special thanks were extended to the RCD for their timely donation.The NAPS team and the RCD is encouraging all couples to get tested and for persons to wear a mask to protect themselves and their partners during this dreaded COVID pandemic.
