Zayd’s lemonade sale raises $10 million for animal welfare

First Son Zayd Ali has raised an impressive $10 million through his annual lemonade sale, with the proceeds distributed to ten animal shelters and welfare organisations in Guyana.

The event, held this afternoon on the lawns of State House, attracted hundreds of patrons who gathered to support the cause while enjoying a family-friendly atmosphere filled with activities for children.

During the presentation ceremony, the young philanthropist expressed his gratitude.

“I want to help the animals because I love them,” he said.

Meanwhile, First Lady Arya Ali underscored the deeper purpose behind the initiative, noting, “This sale is not just about tasting great lemonade but about giving back to animals who do not have a voice.”

President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, along with members of his Cabinet, was also present to support the cause.

Each of the ten organisations received $1 million.

They include: Tails of Hope, Animal Kingdom Pet Care, Paws for Cause, Rosewood Foundation, Hope for Animals Inc., the Guyana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Ravena’s Rescue, Furball and Friends Foundation Inc., The Guyana Foundation for Animal Rescue and Welfare and Pawsome Oasis.
