Barbara Pilgrim sworn in as new govt MP
─ replaces expelled Charrandas Persaud

Barbara Patricia Pilgrim was earlier today sworn in as the new member of Parliament at the 112th Sitting of the National Assembly.
Pilgrim, a Berbician, took the oath of office before Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Barton Scotland. She received an official welcome by Prime Minister, Moses Nagamootoo.
Pilgrim has filled the seat of former government backbencher Charrandass Persaud who was officially expelled from the Alliance for Change (AFC) and consequently the National Assembly, following the December 21 vote against the government.
