Minister of Communities Ronald Bulkan moments ago announced Monday November 12, 2018 as the date for Local Government Elections (LGE). Minister Bulkan made the announcement at the National Toshaos Council Conference. The order is to be gazetted today and $2.9B is allocated to the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) for preparations for the elections, which have begun.
