–as new Floor-it showroom opens its doors

Local businesses continue to boom as they express confidence in Guyana’s economy by expanding operations throughout the country.
Floor It Plus is the latest company to open its doors in Guyana with the introduction of a brand-new showroom on North Road.
Creating a timeless elegance is the guiding principle of the company which was established in 2014 to meet the needs of an unmatched niche in Guyana.
Floor It provides structural timber, hardwood and other timber flooringS, all made and produced in Guyana, a service not widely available in years prior.
The company has export operations spanning the borders of the USA, Canada and New Zealand as well as throughout the Caribbean. They have also opened a showroom and warehouse facility in Jamaica in May of 2019.
Andre Cummings, proprietor and founder of Floor It, delivering remarks at today’s grand opening explained that hard work, support and persistence have allowed him to set up shop in Guyana finally.
Nicholas Boyer, President of GCCI explained that opening this showroom is especially important now at a time “when infrastructure, standards, specification and design are going to be more important as we develop Guyana.” He noted that this is a commendable step.
Head of Forest Products Development and Marketing Council, Kenny David explained that the showroom which displays crafted local wood is one of a kind and is an example of the confidence businesses have in the economy.
“This shows what is possible for [Guyana’s future],” He said.
