By working together much can be achieved! – Min Ramjattan

DPI, Guyana, Monday, February 10, 2020

Addressing thousands of enthusiastic APNU+AFC supporters at a rally at the Bayroc community ground in Linden, Public Security Minister Hon. Khemraj Ramjattan said the election “was a straight competition” between President Granger and the opposition candidate Irfan Ally.

Minister Ramjattan noted that despite the many challenges inherited from the previous administration, the Coalition government has had many substantial achievements in four years as compared to the 23 years under the PPP/C administration.

“We have done many things especially for Linden,” he said citing the rehabilitation of Silver City, and Linden to Mabura roads as just a few.

Describing the leadership of President Granger as best for the burgeoning oil and gas industry’s management, the minister assured that key infrastructural upgrades for the town will be realised with the resources garnered from the oil production. Among these are the rehabilitation of the Linden Soesdyke Highway and a commercial bus hub for the Linden to Lethem route.

Recalling the Cummingsburg Accord crafted by the parties comprising the Coalition, the minister said “the four and a half years, under the Coalition, have worked, Coalition Politics is here to stay….and it will make this country the greatest in the Caribbean. We have the resources to make this happen.”

“With the credible and competent leadership, we have … we must vote to continue the progress!” Minister Ramjattan added.

The rally, which attracted thousands of Lindeners also featured cultural performances such as songs, dances and poems.
