–PM Candidate Khemraj Ramjattan urges as Nomination Day kicks off

It is Nomination Day 2020 for the “mother of all elections” and droves of supporters of the APNU+AFC coalition gathered at the Parade Ground in high spirits as the party prepares to submit its list of candidates to GECOM.

Prime Ministerial candidate and Minister of Public Security Khemraj Ramjattan on Friday urged Guyanese “to keep the progress going” as Guyana prepares to hold another General and Regional Election on March 2.

Minister Ramjattan lauded the developments made by the government and explained that Guyana’s confidence in the coalition is evident as seen at today’s Nomination Day March and previously held rallies in Georgetown and Hopetown with the large contingency of supporters.

Minister of Social Cohesion Honourable Amna Ally expressed her confidence that the APNU+AFC has the best list of any party, comprising leaders of all ages and backgrounds.

Speaking with General Secretary of the Alliance for Change David Patterson who also serves as Minister of Public Infrastructure, DPI was assured of the Government’s confidence in their list and their victory led by President David Granger.

Minister of Natural Resources Honourable Raphael Trotman deemed today as the official beginning of a historic season. He exclaimed that the APNU+AFC is ready!
