DPI, Guyana, Monday, March 11, 2019
For the first time, GO-Invest is geared to participate in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC2019) slated to run from May 6-9, 2019, in Houston, Texas. The theme for the 2019 forum is “OTC: The Next 50 Years.”
This was highlighted by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GO-Invest, Owen Verwey, on Monday, during a press conference held at the Roraima Duke Lodge.
According to Verwey, participation in the upcoming event is being facilitated through a collaborative effort between the GO-Invest and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). The aim is to allow members of the Guyana delegation to network with other participants as well as to gather relevant information on the offshore oil and gas sector.
“We will have two booths at the conference and we will be looking into specific activities that are Guyana-focused on and that will also complement OTC activity that is Guyana-focused, with emphasis on the country’s upcoming oil and gas industry,” Verwey explained.
Founded in 1969, OTC is a series of conferences and exhibitions focused on the exchanging technical knowledge relevant to the development of offshore energy resources, primarily oil and natural gas.
