KITE DISTRIBUTION

April 1, 2018 – Ministry of Communities

President David Granger’s kite distribution initiative was taken to the Region Eight community of Mahdia, on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Some four hundred primary school students from five villages in the district received kites for the Easter holidays.

Minister of Communities, Hon. Ronald Bulkan and APNU/AFC Member of Parliament, Hon. Rajcoomarie Gloria Bancroft delivered the kites on behalf of the Head of State.

Students from Micobie, El Paso, Princeville and Campbelltown were brought by Toshaos Ivan Pio and John Andries to join others from Tumatumari and Mahdia for the event. The excited children and their parents who came out in their numbers noted that this was the first time the kite distribution initiative was brought to their community. The kites were adorned with the President’s photograph along with photographs of birds and animals.

Minister Bulkan wished the children and their parents an enjoyable Easter and reminded them to continue working to develop their communities.
