Min. Gaskin Ushers in Christmas Season

Minister of Business, with responsibility for Tourism, Dominic Gaskin joined Guyanese in ushering in the Christmas season.
This evening, Minister Gaskin pulled the switch to light up the 64-foot Christmas tree at Rahaman’s Park, Houston, East Bank Demerara, much to the delight of scores of children and their parents. The Business Minister then extended greetings for a festive season to all Guyanese.

This is the thirteen annual Christmas tree light-up and is facilitated by the management of Parc Rayne. Patrons were treated to musical renditions; dances and the children were given the opportunity to interact with Santa Claus.
The event was made possible by several organisations. Among these were ExxonMobil, Edward B. Beharry & Co., Caribbean International Distributors Incorporated and Food for the Poor.
