Ministerial Outreach in Rupununi Region from Feb. 15-17

Several government ministers are currently on an outreach in several communities across the Rupununi Region. The outreach, which continues in the region until February 17, is organised to listen to the concerns of the residents and to craft solutions.
The ministerial team comprises some 20 ministers who will visit 32 villages in three days.
Among those participating in the exercise are Minister of State, Joseph Harmon; Minister of Education, Dr. Nicolette Henry; Ministers of Social Protection, Amna Ally and Keith Scott; Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Basil Williams SC; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carl Greenidge; Minister of Public Security, Khemraj Ramjattan; Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman; Minister of Public Telecommunications, Catherine Hughes; Minister of Communities, Ronald Bulkan; Ministers of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs, Sydney Allicock and Valerie Garrido-Lowe; Minister of Social Cohesion, Dr. George Norton; Ministers of Public Infrastructure, David Patterson and Annette Ferguson; Minister of Citizenship, Winston Felix; Minister of Public Affairs, Dawn Hastings-Williams, Minister within the Ministry of Finance, Jaipaul Sharma; Minister within the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Karen Cummings as well as Advisor to the Minister of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs, Mervyn Williams; Region 4 parliamentary representative, Michael Carrington; Region 3, Regional Executive Officer (REO), Jennifer Ferreira-Dougall and Managing Director, Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) Dr. Richard Van West-Charles will also be joining the contingent.
