New airstrip for Cuyuni mining district

Georgetown, GINA, November 24, 2016

A new airstrip will be constructed in the Cuyuni mining district number four, Region Seven, to facilitate the mining and geological exploration activities by the Innovative Mining Incorporated.

This was disclosed by Minister of State Joseph Harmon at the post-Cabinet briefing today, at the Ministry of the Presidency.

Minister Harmon said that Cabinet has granted its approval for the construction of the airstrip at Aramata in the Cuyuni mining district.

“Innovative Mining Incorporated, a registered company under the Companies Act of Guyana is involved in the business of mining and geological explorations and has been granted several mining permits in the hinterland,” Minister Harmon explained.
