Press Release – CDC responding to flood reports

The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) says it has assessed some 37 communities which have been affected by the heavy seasonal rains, and distributed almost 1,700 cleaning hampers to residents and regional officials.

The CDC is also distributing sandbags and monitoring and responding to flood reports in the affected regions.

An update on the operations was provided on Sunday by Senior Response Officer Captain Salim October.
