Prime Minister receives courtesy call from Indian High Commissioner
Prime Minister, the Hon. (R’etd) Brigadier Mark Phillips, this morning, received a courtesy call from High Commissioner of India to Guyana, His Excellency, Dr. K. J. Srinivasa, at the Office of the Prime Minister, Colgrain House, Camp Street.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and the High Commissioner discussed areas of collaboration between the two countries, including the upgrading of major infrastructure in Guyana such as roads, hospitals and river transport.
The Prime Minister disclosed that he was heartened to have received the High Commissioner and is eager for the projects discussed to come to fruition.
Meanwhile, Dr. Srinivasa briefed the Prime Minister on India’s competency in the areas such as technology, solar energy and health care.
At the close of the meeting, the High Commissioner presented Prime Minister Phillips with a token of appreciation.
Counsellor, Indian High Commission, Mr. Vijayakumar K. accompanied the High Commissioner to the meeting.
