According to the Prime Minister, after being elected in 2015, “the government hit the ground running from day one.” He explained that during the last four years under the Coalition, the country has seen improvement across all sectors and with the country on the threshold of oil production much more is expected.

Further explaining that Guyana’s youths are liberated and “they see a world of ethnic and gender cooperation”.

The Prime Minister urged all youths present to ensure they get registered.

Providing some facts of the previous General and Regional Elections, he explained that except for the 1992 polls, where elections were already delayed by some two years, the time frame between the dissolution of Parliament and Election Day is usually no sooner than eleven weeks; around 80 days

The Prime Minister concluded his remarks by reiterating that “this government will not fall because, for the past four years, this government has done more than any single term government”.
