$14.4M for Kato Secondary reservoir, soakaways

DPI, Guyana, Wednesday, October 31, 2018

The National Assembly tonight approved the supplementary of $14.4M which will be used to acquire additional resources for the construction of a reservoir and two soakaways at the Kato Secondary School.

Minister of Communities, Ronald Bulkan explained these were not initially catered for, as he responded to questions raised by the Opposition,

This supplementary falls under Education Delivery in the Potaro-Siparuni Region (Region Eight).

The Kato Secondary School was completed three years ago but was never commissioned since investigations revealed a number of structural defects which needed to be remedied before students and teachers could occupy the building.

However, with the remedial works being completed, those pressing issues have been solved.
