Cabinet in Session – Berbice

Cabinet is currently holding its weekly meeting at State House in New Amsterdam, Berbice. It is Cabinet’s first meeting in Berbice since the Coalition Government came to office in 2015.
Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, who is performing the functions of President, is chairing the meeting. His Excellency President David Granger is in Cuba where he is continuing to receive treatment for Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The Cabinet Meeting is being held simultaneously as the Government Outreach at the University of Guyana, Tain Campus in the Corentyne. Following the conclusion of the engagement, all the members of Cabinet will travel to the Tain Campus to interact and engage with the public on issues of their concern.
The Government Outreach at Tain commenced at 10:00hrs and will continue until 17:00hrs. Cabinet members will then conduct 17 community meetings across the region.
