CDC delivers sanitation supplies to flood-affected residents in Reg. 6

Officials from the Civil Defence Commission (CDC), the Ministry of Agriculture, and the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA), have conducted assessments of the flood-affected villages in Corentyne, East Berbice (Region Six).
The assessments concluded that heavy rains affected villages from Number 53 to Number 58.
The CDC today handed over several cleaning hampers to affected households to assist with their sanitation exercise. It was reported that the hardest affected villages are Number 53, Number 54 and Number 58.
The CDC team was led by Captain Salim October.
