Finance Minister to engage officials on margins of international forum in China- Min. Harmon

China Development Bank, EXIM Bank to be engaged

DPI, GUYANA, Friday, May 25, 2018

Minister of Finance, Winston Jordan will be engaging officials in the financial, manufacturing and construction sectors during a visit to China in early June.

This was disclosed by Minister of State, Joseph Harmon on Thursday during a post-Cabinet press conference.

The Finance Minister will be meeting with the representatives of the China Development Bank, China EXIM Bank, China LAC Foundation and Huawei Exhibition Hall, among other organisations.

Engagements will take place during Minister Jordan’s visit to Mainland China from June 9-15. This follows his attendance at the 9th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum to be hosted in Macau, China from June 7-8.

The forum is being hosted under the theme: ‘New Growth Drivers for Better Infrastructure and Closer Connectivity’.

Seventeen hundred delegates from over 60 countries and regions are expected to attend.
