Finance Ministry temporarily suspends counter service

  The Ministry of Finance is advising the general public that they are suspending their counter service with immediate effect until Thursday, June 11 2020.

In a press release issued today the ministry informed that on Sunday, 7 June, 2020, “a main burst resulting in severe water damage to documents and equipment in the main building, and the disruption of all phone services.”

The dispatch also emphasised that the Minister of Finance’s office was not affected contrary to some reports in the media.

The Finance Ministry stated that all other services, including the payment of salaries and pensions continue uninterrupted as it works to ensure the “full operation of the Ministry is restored” as quickly as possible
