Georgetown M&CC to host elections

The Mayor and City Council (M&CC) is preparing to host elections for the posts of Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Members of the Finance Committee, tomorrow, December 11.

Mayor of Georgetown His Worship Ubraj Narine

This is scheduled to commence at 2:00 pm in the Council’s Chambers of City Hall.

Current Mayor of Georgetown His Worship Ubraj Narine and Deputy Mayor Alfred Mentore are among the viable candidates.

From meeting and listening to market vendors at Bourda, Stabroek, to address their issues, to personally being involved in several clean-up exercises, Mayor Narine has been regarded as one of the council’s most favoured officials due to his hands-on approach to tackling challenges that his Council face and his determination to return Georgetown to a pristine environment.
