Guyana Action Party expresses confidence in Coalition Govt

The Guyana Action Party (GAP) today, in a letter to the editor, expressed confidence in the APNU+AFC Government and decried the opposition PPP’s “naked and futile quest for power”.

According to the party’s letter, it has noted the PPP/C’s “emboldened challenge following the recent illness of President David Granger.

The letter also expressed confidence in the ability of President Granger and the APNU+AFC Government to transform Guyana with the production of oil starting in 2010.

In addition, the GAP expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his vision and continued efforts to put the hinterland communities of Guyana on equal footing with the coastal areas.

In the dispatch, GAP expressed its gratitude for opportunities afforded through projects such as the Hinterland Entrepreneurial Youth Services (HEYS), which has empowered youths to manage their own businesses.

The letter of support also highlighted some of the government’s achievements in the hinterland regions and noted plans for further infrastructural development among them a highway from Linden to Lethem, a bridge over the Essequibo River at the Fairview Crossing, Lethem airstrip becoming a modern airport. in 2019.
