Guyana has historic ties with Cuba

GEORGETOWN, Wednesday, November 29, 2017– His Excellency Julio Cesar Gonzalez Marchante, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Guyana, paid a farewell courtesy call on Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo at the Office of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo described Ambassador Marchante as a true friend of the Guyanese people. The Cuban Ambassador’s stint in Guyana will come to an end in December 2017 after more than four years of service.

The Prime Minister re-assured the outgoing envoy of Guyana’s strong links with Cuba.
