Guyana to host over 450 delegates for upcoming Commonwealth Conference
– 12th Biennial Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management Conference

Over four hundred and fifty regional and international representatives are expected in Guyana from October 22-24, for the 12th Biennial Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) Conference.
The event will be hosted at the Marriott Hotel, Kingston Georgetown under the theme” Transforming the Public Sector for Climate Governance”.

Minister of State, Joseph Harmon, who was speaking at a post-Cabinet press conference today said it is anticipated that participants will benefit from new management skills, training and knowledge in implementing the Green State Development Strategy (GSDS).
CAPAM is the premier Commonwealth representative body for senior public servants, heads of government, acclaimed academics and researchers in the Commonwealth.
The three-day event offers insightful dialogue, theoretical and practical knowledge exchange and networking opportunities.
To enrich and complement the experience, the government of Guyana is organising a special programme of learning journeys for delegates.
The programme will culminate with the CAPAM International Innovations Awards presentations to recognise excellence in public service innovation.
