Minister Persaud discusses empowerment projects with Help & Shelter

Minister of Human Services and Social Security, the Hon. Vindhya Persaud hosted a virtual meeting with a team from Help and Shelter to explore ideas that would provide support for abused women and their children.

The team, headed by the non-governmental organisation’s (NGO) Chairperson, Ms. Josephine Whitehead, advocated for the Ministry’s continued partnership with the organisation to streamline projects that would empower the women.

In this regard, Minister Persaud advised the team to submit a proposal of the NGO’s successes, challenges and needs to improve its services.

Mr. Colin Marks, Help and Shelter’s Coordinator and Ms. Danut Radzik, one its Directors were also part of the meeting.
