Press Release – Humanitarian Gesture

Today Senior Officers of the Ministry of Education donated blood at the National Blood Transfusion Service for Miss Jonel Correira, a student of Santa Rosa Secondary who was diagnosed with leukemia. The schoolgirl is in need of O+ (Positive) blood for blood transfusion to begin her chemotherapy.

The officers who donated blood are Mr Immanuel Bridgewater- Principal Education Officer (Ag); Mr. Marti Desouza- District Education Officer- Region One (Barima-Waini); Mr. Ameer Ali – Assistant Chief Education Officer (ACEO)- Secondary (Ag); Mr.  Sadiek Ishmael- Senior Education Officer; Mr. Patrick Onwuzirike- Assistant Chief Education Officer- Technical and Mr. Saddam Hussain- Senior Education Officer.
