Reg. 5 farmers meet with Agriculture Minister
– Min. Mustapha commits to addressing critical issues in the Region

Farmers in Mahaica-Berbice (Region Five), on Saturday, met with Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Zulfikar Mustapha, to address critical areas related to land rent, drainage and irrigation, livestock safety, and other major concerns that have been plaguing them for years.
In this regard, Minister Mustapha revealed that the new PPP/C Administration is committed to upholding its manifesto promises, including the reversal of exorbitant land rent imposed on farmers, by the previous APNU+AFC Coalition Administration, along with the removal of Value Added Tax (VAT) on agricultural machinery and products.
