Storm Warning

The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) this morning warned that Tropical Depression Kirk would become a Tropical Storm within the next 21 hours and will be passing close to the Low Coastal Plain of Guyana on Wednesday, September 26.
Director-General (ag) of the CDC, Lieutenant Colonel Kester Craig said there is a high possibility of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and High winds. The CDC and the Hyrdomet Services are monitoring the system and will provide updates. Residents living in communities along the coast are asked to take all necessary precautions.
