The Talks Continue – Education Minister meets with CPCE on the way forward

DPI, Guyana, Wednesday, August 12, 2020

Minister of Education, Hon. Priya Manickchand, visited the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) today, as she continues to talk with key stakeholders in the Education Sector.
Since recently returning to the post of Education Minister, she has been working on manifesting solid plans for the upcoming September school term, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced most teachers and students to adapt to new ways of learning.
Yesterday, Minister Manickchand also engaged in discussions with the Guyana Teachers Union (GTU), and made visits to the Guyana Learning Channel, which is anticipated to play a greater role in education delivery.
Decisions made based on the outcome of the engagements will affect more than 100,000 students in all levels of the education system countrywide.
