Holiday Festivities at the Prime Minister’s Residence

– Sita Nagamootoo hosts annual Christmas party

– Over 200 children treated to afternoon of holiday fun

Laughter was heard today from the lawns of the Prime Minister’s Official Main Street Residence as over 200 children from various orphanages in Georgetown were treated to an afternoon of Christmas festivities.

Welcoming her guests, Mrs. Sita Nagamootoo, wife of the country’s Prime Minister, Moses Nagamootoo noted that: “Christmas is the time to show love.”

The children were entertained by youths from various talent groups around Georgetown in song and dance. They were also greeted by Santa Clause who came prepared with lots of presents.

This initiative is an annual one hosted by Mrs. Nagamootoo, in keeping her quest to show love to the nation’s less-fortunate children.
