Launch of the National Park Zoning Plan in observance of Earth Day
The Protected Areas Commission (PAC) is slated to launch the National Park Zoning Plan to engage stakeholders to contribute towards the development of the National Park as a place that promotes family recreation, fitness, health, and wellness.
As such, members of the public and partners of the PAC are invited to participate in this important event on Friday, April 19, 2024, commencing at 11:00 hrs, where stakeholders can comment on the Commission’s vision to sustainably develop the National Park not only as a green space but also as a vibrant hub to build community and enhance well-being.
In addition, the consultation forms part of Earth Day observances under the theme Planet vs. Plastic, where the work of the Protected Areas Commission will be highlighted through information booths and displays. Chairman of the PAC Board of Directors and Foreign Secretary, Mr. Robert M. Persaud, management, and staff of the PAC will be in attendance.
Members of the public are invited to join the Protected Areas Commission to sustainably plan the development of the National Park for all Guyanese.
