Min. Norton discusses support for Queen’s College
Minister of Presidency, Social Cohesion – Tuesday, March 12, 2019
The Honourable Minister of Social Cohesion with Responsibility for Culture, Youth and Sport, Dr. George Norton, recently met with Queen’s College administration to discuss support for the school, particularly in the area of sport.
Representing the school was Mr. Alfred Granger, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Queen’s College (QC). The meeting, which was held at Minister Norton’s Main and Quamina Streets, Georgetown office, also included Permanent Secretary (ag) Ms. Melissa Tucker and Director of Sport, Mr. Christopher Jones.
The meeting discussed, among other things, the possibility of the Ministry assisting in completing the rehabilitation works on the school’s eight-acre playing field, as well as the existing pavilion.
Mr. Granger was asked to submit a detailed budget and proposal for consideration and possible approval for the project.
