Region 5 it’s your turn – as Govt outreach comes to you

The fifth outreach where the government services are taken to the people has gotten underway at the Fort Wellington, Regional Democratic Council (RDC) compound in Region 5 (Mahaica-Berbice).

The exercise follows a similarly successful event hosted at the University of Guyana, Tain Campus in Region 6 on April 16.

The outreach will allow residents to interface one-on-one with the ministers and head of agencies and departments to discuss and find resolutions to matters of concern to them.

Today’s exercise began at approximately 10:00hrs. Among the ministries present are Agriculture, Public Security, and Housing.

The ministers will fan-out in teams to various communities at 17:00hrs to meet with the residents and listen to their concerns.
