Unicomer Guyana permitted to open several locations for payments only

The National COVID-19 Task Force (NCFT) today permitted Unicomer Guyana permission to open eight of their Courts stores throughout the country.
The decision was one of several made by the task force at its weekly statutory virtual meeting.
Unicomer was granted the approval to open their stores to receive monthly instalment payments from customers only. This was disclosed via a press statement from NCFT.
Courts Guyana locations re-open are Main Street Georgetown, Bartica, Richmond Essequibo Coast, Linden, Mahaica, Parika, New Amsterdam and Diamond.
The statement noted that “this approval was granted for Monday to Friday openings during the non-curfew hours.”
The approval is effective from Wednesday, May 20, 2020, and Unicomer will be expected to adhere to all requirements outlined by the Task Force in the emergency measures.
