‘Use our bill payment agents’ – Divisional Commercial Manager, GPL

The Guyana Power and Light Incorporated (GPL) is encouraging customers to use its agents for payment of bills. The company is assuring that the information is updated in a timely manner. According to Divisional Commercial Manager, Rhonda La Fargue, the use of bill payment agents will ensure customers spend less time in lines and receive service in a timely manner.
In a recent interview with the Department of Public Information (DPI), La Fargue said the power utility company has bill payment services at Massey Superstore, Bounty supermarkets and Giftland Mall among other locations. La Fargue said: “We have lots of agents countrywide, however, some customers still like to come into GPL.”
She further added “we will advise that if you are aware that you are past your due date, then you should come into the GPL office and make your payment.”
La Fargue noted that customers’ payment information is updated daily.
GPL is currently on a drive to improve both its electricity reliability and customer service. The company recently launched a nationwide survey of its assets, held outreaches and will soon launch online and WhatsApp platforms to communicate with its customers.
