GLDA’s Welch appointed head of Guyana Prisons Agricultural Development Board

Michael Welch has been appointed the Chairman of the Guyana Prisons Agricultural Development Board. He serves as Head of the Livestock Development Unit at the Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA).
This was announced by Minister of State, Joseph Harmon during his weekly post-Cabinet press briefing on January 26. He explained that Welch will be supported by ten other members and will serve for one year.
The Guyana Prisons Agricultural Development Board was launched in 2011 with the aim of making the Guyana Prison Service (GPS) more self-sufficient.
