Prime Minister receives courtesy call from EU Ambassador
Prime Minister Brigadier (R’etd) Mark Phillips, this morning, received a courtesy call from Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Guyana, Mr. Fernando Ponz Canto.
Prime Minister Phillips said Guyana and the European Union has a long-standing relationship, and he was pleased to receive a visit from the Ambassador.
During the meeting, Ambassador Ponz Canto congratulated the Prime Minister on his appointment and assured him that the EU stands ready to continue to expand its strong relationship with Guyana.
The meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister, Colgrain House, Camp Street, Georgetown.
