Statement by Minister of Public Works, Hon. Juan Edghill

Government wishes to assure that the delays in salary payments occasioned for some Agencies are being addressed by the relevant Budget Agencies and the Ministry of Finance. Technical difficulties experienced with the IT system resulted in extended downtime hours and have contributed to this delay. Officers are working through the weekend to ensure those affected agencies are resolved and salaries are deposited in bank accounts early in the new week.

The Ministry of Finance regrets any inconvenience this may have caused.
