Former Guyanese cricketer donates 10,000 masks to MoE

(September 24,2020)- The Ministry of Education (MoE) today, received 10,000 masks from businessman and former cricketer Timur Mohamed. 

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry, Alfred King received the donation from Social Activist Mr. Don Singh, who presented them on Mr. Mohamed’s behalf.

In his remarks, Mr. Singh said the businessman wanted to ‘give back’ to his country as it grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Permanent Secretary, in expressing the MoE’s gratitude, said the donation is timely as the Ministry prepares for the inevitable reopening of schools.
