Over $872M approved for Auditor General’s Office

The sum of $872, 009,000 was this evening approved in the Committee of Supply of the National Assembly for the Auditor General’s Office.
This covers Current and Capital Expenditures for the period ending December 31, 2019.
Minister of Finance, Winston Jordan, in defending the recommended amount, said it represents 98 per cent of the requested amount of $894,241,000 and 16 per cent more of the 2017 allocation to that constitutional agency.
The amount was approved by majority vote.
