Sanitising of Kitty and East Ruimveldt Markets
The Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown continues to sanitise all of its Municipal facilities and its immediate environs.
The Council has established a fixed schedule to sanitise all of its buildings on a regular basis. So far the following buildings were sanitised; City Hall, Engineers Building, City Constabulary Building, Mayoral Complex, Princess Street Compound, South Road Medical Complex, Clinics, Municipal Day Care Centers, Koker / Sluice Operation Houses and the Stabroek Market.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the Kitty and East Ruimveldt markets would closed to the public to facilitate sanitisation of the markets by the Council’s Public Health Department. The Council regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
